I was born and raised in Cobb County during the time the “Big Chicken” became a famous landmark, and I graduated from Sprayberry High School in 1974, when it was still referred to as the “new school.” Dad was an accountant with Lockheed, and mom taught school at Sprayberry for some 30 years. My brother, Alan, was a terrific athlete and the first boys’ basketball coach at Walton High School, prior to his death in 1975. Alan C. Pope High School is named for my brother.
After graduating from Sprayberry, I obtained my undergraduate degree in accounting from Georgia State University and my law degree from the University of Georgia, where I became a die-hard Bulldogs fan. I also have graduate degrees in the tax field.
My legal career began with a small firm in Atlanta doing tax and corporate work. I later had the opportunity to learn the mortgage business by originating home loans with Sears Mortgage Corporation. Before long, I had the opportunity to move into real estate closing work with McCalla, Raymer, Padrick, Cobb, Nichols & Clark, one of the largest real estate firms in Atlanta, where I enjoyed more than fourteen years as an Associate Attorney and Partner. After a brief time with Jackson and Hardwick, another large real estate firm, I decided to form my own practice in March, 2003 to provide personalized real estate service and to expand into other areas of law. I have enjoyed assisting families with their real estate transactions for more than twenty years, and I have been awarded an AV rating* as published in the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory.
My wife, Tina, and I have four lovely daughters and live in Acworth, along with our golden retriever, Baylee, and our cat, Moo.
I would be delighted to assist with your closings and legal needs throughout the metro Atlanta area. Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding how we may be of service.
Thanks again for your interest in our firm!
Bob
